Do you want to see councils take bolder climate action and have the drive to create change? If you are interested in representing your community in local Government, and even if you haven’t considered politics before - with the right support, you can overcome barriers and stand for your local or community board or council.

AIM

GLOW is on a mission to encourage a new cohort of local leaders, by supporting diverse, talented and knowledgeable candidates to stand at this year’s local elections. We aim to be a launchpad for diverse voices in local leadership, where they can drive climate and community-led action.

LEARNING

GLOW is a 12 week candidate incubator, supporting people to stand for election by providing professional development on how local government works, campaigning tips, and by fostering a support network of new candidates to help them thrive in local politics.

COMMUNITY

GLOW is also a network, fostering peer support, sharing best practices, and building a community to support diverse leadership and effective local Governance.

GLOW is an independent, non-partisan organisation, committed to supporting new potential leaders who prioritise climate and community.
